James David Rodríguez Rubio (born 12 July 1991), or simply James, is a Colombian footballer who plays for French club AS Monaco.He is considered to be one of the best young players in the world. His playmaking skills have led many to consider him to be the successor of Colombian legend icon Carlos Valderrama (who has declared him as such) thus being referred as 'El Nuevo Pibe' (the 'new kid' in reference to being the successor of Carlos who was nicknamed 'El Pibe'). His move to Monaco required a transfer fee of 45 million euros, making him the second most expensive Colombian player in history as well as the one of the highest in world football.
