Ann Elder (born Anna Velders; September 21, 1942, Cleveland, Ohio) is an American Emmy Award-winning screenwriter. She won Emmy Awards for comedy writing (co-shared for Lily Tomlin's 1974 CBS special, among others). She also wrote for Mama's Family as well. Elder made an appearance on the 1960s television series The Wild Wild West and McHale's Navy (where she portrayed Lt. Melba Benson in "The Vampire of Taratupa"). Elder appeared several times on the Match Game quiz show during its run in the 1970s, as well as being a regular on Laugh In in the early 1970s. She also was in an episiode of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. called "The Bridge of Lions Affair" and in an episode of The Odd Couple called "The Flight of the Felix." Her film appearances include the 1960s films Don't Make Waves and For Singles Only.
