Biography

Robert Stanton Waterfield (July 26, 1920 – March 25, 1983) was an American athlete who played professional American football in the National Football League (NFL). He was the league's Rookie of the Year in 1946 and a two-time NFL champion in 1945 and 1951 as the quarterback, kicker, and punter of the Rams. Waterfield was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1965.
