Astrology Planetary Patterns for April 2016

The month of April in 2016 is sparkled with 3 Grand Earth Trines and two Mutable T-Squares.

In March the Mutable Cross was the central pattern emerging from the sky and the same is true for this April.

The two slow moving planets Jupiter and Saturn square each other from Virgo and Sagittarius. Meanwhile, last month Mercury and Venus - two comparably fast moving planets formed a T-Square with the former ones from Pisces. This month the slow moving Neptune in Pisces begins to form a T-Square with the former ones for nearly the whole month.

What makes a T-Square "tight", and thereby worth noting as a chart pattern? Well primarily the orbs of the squares within (aka the margin of error from a perfect 90 degree angle) need to be less than 8 degrees. And on the 4th, Jupiter and Neptune form a square that is just under 8 degrees.

T-Square: Jupiter in Virgo 15° , Mars in Sagittarius 8° , Neptune in Pisces 10°

This T-Square continues for the remainder of the month.

Grand Cross: Moon in Gemini 12° , Jupiter in Virgo 14° , Mars in Sagittarius 8° , Neptune in Pisces 10°

On the 10th, the Moon briefly falls in the sign of Gemini and completes the T-Square to form a Grand Mutable Cross.

Grand Trine: Mercury in Taurus 17° , Jupiter in Virgo 14° , Pluto in Capricorn 17°

A Grand Trine in the Earth signs emerges around April 10th, but it peaks on the 16th, when Jupiter hovers at 14 degrees Virgo, before turning around and going into retrograde.

This is a pattern that continues until the 21st.

Kite: Mercury in Taurus 19° , Pluto in Capricorn 17° , North Node in Virgo 19° and tip of Chiron in Pisces 23°

As Jupiter retrogrades in Virgo, and Mercury moves into the latter degrees of Taurus, another Grand Earth Trine emerges between Mercury, Pluto and now the North Node. It is even amplified on this day by the passing Moon in 20° Capricorn.

What's quite interesting is that Chiron's position in late Pisces forms a Kite tip on the trine, adding even more soothing energy through its harmonizing sextiles.

Grand Trine: Sun in Taurus 9° , Jupiter in Virgo 13° , Pluto in Capricorn 17°

As Jupiter retrogrades through Virgo, it begins to form a Trine with the Sun progressing through Taurus. This forms the 3rd Grand Earth Trine of the month.

Continuing from before, these are the three chart patterns we close the month of April with.
